Ky-Mani Marley was born on February 26th, 1976 at Falmouth Jamaica. He is one the richest and most famous Reggae singers. He was in Shottas the cult movie with Wyclef. Ky-Mani enlisted Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996 like Father Like Son and several singles: Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap Fit (remix) and Sensimelia All of these contributed to his rising popularity in the new generation of reggae musicians. Ky-Mani as well as Praswell, of the Fugees joined together in 1997 and recorded Avenue, a cover version Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared in Midem (international music festival) when it was held in Miami for the first time. Marley gave a concert at the Cameo Theatre that was broadcasted live in 36 different countries. Marley became the subject of bidding battles. He joined Gee Street/V2 Record in 1997, where he recorded an album with label partner P.M. Dawn who recorded the track Gotta be Movin"On Up. Ky-Mani is the sole child to Bob Marley and his table tennis champion wife Anita Belnavis. Ky-Mani Marley has been named one of Jamaica's most wealthy Reggae artists. He was initially more into athletics as a kid than music, but his mother encouraged him and he started playing guitar as well as piano.
