Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to classical, old boleros and traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for opera, tangos and the various forms of dramatic performing. She started singing and studying musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young college student as well as a professional. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is a current member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with the traditional Latin American music at private events. She has been involved in many local activities, both an instructor and performer because of her passion for music and art. Ana has been an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her singing of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, in particular among the younger generation to keep this tradition living.
